Aquilegia Black Barlow

This is Aquilegia Black Barlow which I sowed last spring. I am pleasantly surprised with the form and colour of this flower which is a intense purple contrasting nicely with the aliums next to it. It is also a really tall Aquilegia nearly as high as the giant Aliums.

As you can see in this picture the dark of the flower is hightened greatly by the light green foliage all in all a nice contrast. So if you can delay satisfaction for a year I would say this is a easy and pretty plant to grow from seed.
