Cypripedium Pueblo In Flower

Two of the Cypripedium Pueblo flowers have opened up with three more to come. That is one of the things I really like about this plant, I bought it it has 5 growth points already and all of them flower in their first season. A win all round. The yellow contrasts nicely with the foliage and I am quite fond of the twisty petals they definitely give the flower some oomph. From now on the plant will get a little bit of orchid fertiliser every other week. I fear the Cypripedium reginea did not survive a round of chickens digging around. Though this annoys me greatly I will probably buy one from the Garden Orchid collection and keep it the same way I do the Cypripedium Pueblo. Here is another closeup of the flower.

I love this, would look right at home in our exotic garden, will have to keep an eye out for one.

Yeah I really like it as well. Love your blog by the way, I'm quite jealous of your microcimate!
